The hair
You ride your legs loose in the valley of the Hollandse IJssel. Get some fresh air and enjoy the peace. Then you cycle through De Meern. You drive a bit through the Máxima Park, after which you take a trip to Kasteel de Haar. The original castle dates from the fourteenth century, but was given a neo-Gothic makeover in 1892.
Linschoten
In the countryside you drive through the Cope landscape with its characteristic narrow plots: a subdivision pattern whose origins date back to the thirteenth century. You enter Woerden via the Oude Rijn. Woerden Castle is located on Defense Island, a small peninsula in the canal. The fortress originally dates from 1415. You will also pass the Windhond, a corn mill from 1755. In Linschoten you cycle through the protected village view: what a nice atmosphere!
