A round of Oosterschelde

Cycling along the Oosterschelde is beautiful. You will find plenty of nature reserves and places of interest here.

Oosterscheldekering
From Fietswinkel Kamperland you first drive to Verscentrum Sandee. You can stock up on delicious fresh products for a delicious picnic on the way. A little later you drive through the wide polders on Noord-Beveland. On the Oosterscheldekering you can get a breath of fresh air while enjoying the views over the North Sea. Over the years, wind and weather have turned Neeltje Jans into a beautiful dune landscape that is held together by marram grass and sea buckthorn.

Zeeland Bridge
You pass the Plompetoren, a former church tower from 1468. From the top you have a unique panorama. The Schelphoek is a creek area that arose from one of the largest dike breaches during the flood disaster in 1953. Further on you cycle through the Prunje, the oldest polder on Schouwen-Duiveland. You drive through historic Zierikzee, after which you cross the iconic Zeeland Bridge. On the north coast of Noord-Beveland you can see the characteristic inlays: natural polders behind the sea dike.
