Tour Ravenstein and the Maas

There are beautiful gems such as Megen and Ravenstein along the Brabantse Maas. In the countryside of Oss you cycle through the Herpse Bossen. In this setting of fields, fields and bocage forest, one thing is immediately noticeable: the tranquility. Ideal for a day of downshifting. In Megen you can still really feel the atmosphere of a bygone era through the many well-preserved old buildings. You will see the Gevangenpoort, a fourteenth-century gate tower that was once part of the demolished wall. Cycling along the Maasdijk is beautiful, while you look out over the floodplains. You pass some characteristic farms and the Stella Polaris, or North Star: a flour mill from 1865. You also pass through the historic center of Ravenstein. Get off at Het Grote Broertje in the nice Grave!
