Description
Cycling is wonderful in Central Limburg. You will find beautiful nature reserves and a lot of cultural history. It is also surprisingly quiet here, because many Dutch people do not yet know how beautiful Central Limburg is.
Leudal nature reserve
It is wonderful to stay at Recreatiepark De Leistert. Especially if you get on your bike to explore this region. First you pass through the church village of Roggel. A little later you drive into the Leudal, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Limburg. It is intersected by the Tungelroyse Beek, locally called the Leubeek. You will find a variety of wet and dry forests. And silence.
Castle Horn
Don't fall off your bike when you see Horn Castle: it is one of the oldest, still intact ring wall castles in the Netherlands. Then you enjoy the natural beauty of the Beegder Heide and the rippling water of the Boschmolerplas. The Grathemermolen is nearby.
