Tour highlights of Walcheren

This route takes you past some of the most beautiful spots in Walcheren: the Veerse Meer and the historic towns of Middelburg and Veere. Middelburg is worth a visit: it was the second most important city in the Netherlands at the time of the VOC, you can still see many beautiful buildings from this golden age. Veere is one of the most beautiful fortified towns in the Netherlands with beautiful medieval monuments. So get off! After a stopover at Theetuin and Farm Camping Plantlust you cycle along the Veerse Meer back to your starting point. Walcheren is enclosed by the North Sea, the Western Scheldt and the Veerse Meer.
