Around Vorden, you'll pass several centuries-old country estates. The first is Vorden Castle. This castle's history dates back to the fourteenth century, while the current building dates back to 1610. On the beautiful Kieftskamp Estate, you can take a look at the manor house, which dates back to 1776. Further on, you'll cycle through the Gelderland village of Hengelo, not to be confused with the Overijssel city of Hengelo. Via Keijenborg, you'll arrive at Eetcafe De Tol. Stop for a leisurely lunch before continuing your journey, refueled. This rural region offers wonderfully peaceful cycling, ideal for a day of recharging your batteries. Finally, you'll pass Hackfort Castle, dating from 1376. You'll cycle back through Vorden to the parking lot.
