Veere, Middelburg and Vlissingen

There is a peninsula in the western part of Zeeland where you can enjoy the vastness of the province while cycling through the landscape. You can see the North Sea, the Western Scheldt and the Veerse Meer. You set course for Veere and cycle along the Veerse Meer. The lake, popular among water sports enthusiasts, was created by damming the Veerse Gat when the Delta Works were constructed. A beautiful building during this cycle tour is the De Koning mill in Middelburg. The mill in the capital of Zeeland Middelburg was built as a successor to a burned down predecessor.
