Wine Castle Genoelselderen
Tongeren once started as a Gallo-Roman civilian settlement in 15 BC. This oldest town in Belgium was already granted market rights in the second century. You will discover even more history around the city. The route first leads you to the beautiful Wine Castle Genoelselderen, the largest wine estate in the country. You will find thirteenth-century wine cellars and a beautiful rose garden. Grand Commandery Alden Biesen is also a beautiful castle: step off to discover the Moated Castle and French Gardens!

Marienhof
The original Crosier monastery Trappistine Abbey Marienhof is the last point of interest. The abbey was founded at the beginning of the fifteenth century, part of it is still used by the order of Cistercians. The baroque chapel and sacristy can be visited under supervision and in the stables you will find a museum about the fruit region Haspengouw. Back at your starting point, the hip Eburon Hotel, you can spend another night. It's so beautiful here!
