You can take a varied route between Doesburg and Doetinchem. First you cycle to Laag-Keppel. Here you will see two old water mills and a castle that originally dates from 1350. After this castle was destroyed in 1582, it was rebuilt in the seventeenth century. Further on you drive through the protected village of Hummelo. You will find a surprisingly nice historic atmosphere here. You drive a long way through the scenic landscape just below Hengelo, after which you explore the open landscape along the IJssel. Doesburg is an old Hanseatic town, there is plenty to see. You cycle through the rural Liemers to Jan & Jan food and drinks in Didam. Further on you pass food garden Plok, also a nice stop. You cycle back through the rural area to the starting point.
