The Schoorlse Dunes and Mountains

This varied route contains a number of North Holland gems. First you drive through the dunes at Bergen and Schoorl. The path winds and undulates as you drive through the trees or heather plants. You will have no trouble switching back in this beautiful nature reserve. In between you can take a dip on the beach at Bergen aan Zee. When you drive out of the dunes, it is time for a pit stop. You can enjoy a drink and a snack on the cozy terrace of Restaurant Honky Tonk. You cycle a bit on the West Frisian Omringdijk, after which you drive through the watery nature reserve Geestmerambacht. Via Koedijk and along the Bergervaart you drive to Bergen, the famous artists' village. Here you will see monumental villas, but also the fifteenth-century Ruinekerk.
