Tour of Waterland and the Zaanse Schans

You'll start at the Twiske nature reserve, a beautiful mix of forest and water. Monnickendam is a lovely old town perfect for soaking up the atmosphere. You'll also pass through Oostzaan. Via Zaandam and Zaandijk, you'll cycle to the Zaanse Schans. This little corner of the Netherlands is world-famous. The neighborhood with its wooden houses is so unique and beautiful that many people love to see it a second (or tenth!) time. It's best to walk through the Zaanse Schans with your bike in hand, to soak up the most beautiful views. Take a break at Restaurant De Kraai! The surrounding polders are also man-made. Here, you'll enjoy characteristic views over expansive meadows and ditches.
