Description

Get to know the area around Heiloo and Castricum and the surrounding bulb fields. You start the route at Oesdom coffee & shop. You are very welcome here for a drink and a snack. Via Limmen you cycle to the edge of Castricum, where you will encounter a Water Tower. The tower was built in 1908 and is over 33 meters high. Then you explore the North Holland Dune Reserve and the Dunes near Bakkum, one of the largest nature reserves in our country. The area includes dunes, beaches, inner dune edge forests with lots of relief and some smaller nature reserves. At Egmond aan Zee you cycle towards Heiloo. Along the way you have a view of the bulb fields. Via the edge of Heiloo you cycle back to the Shrine and Pilgrimage Place of Our Lady of Need.
