Description
A change of food makes you eat: explore Limburg Belgium and fall in love with the picturesque villages in the charming province. There is a lot of agriculture and livestock farming in the area. This area is also known for its rolling landscape with very fertile soils and most of it is used for fruit growing.
The area is therefore known to have an important place in the fruit growing sector. Due to its fertile lands and favorable location, this has traditionally been one of the most important economic activities of Sint-Truiden, the pleasant town in Haspengouw that you will pass through during your tour. Heers is also a town in the beautiful Belgian province of Limburg. The village is best known for its thirteenth-century castle. Heers and the castle were destroyed by the troops of Charles the Bold in 1467. A farm from Heers was transferred to Bokrijk and rebuilt there as an entrance to the open-air museum.
The old style of the 200-year-old farm has been respected and preserved, but of course the rooms have all been renovated and fully equipped. The kitchen uses fresh vegetables from our own garden. Route 136836 also starts and ends at this farm, so book a weekend away and enjoy the rural atmosphere. An honest, real and healthy outing in the countryside starts at Hoevehotel Karrehof.
