The natural beauty around Hengelo

This route takes you through the natural beauty north of Hengelo. You cycle through a characteristic landscape of ash trees, wooded banks and small-scale forest. You regularly see an old hall house farm. You also pass the place where between 1300 and 1804 the manor house Weleveld, now only the canals remain. On the edge of Oldenzaal you cycle through the forests of the recreation area Hulsbeek. Just below Deurningen you can get off at Landgoed Kaamps for lunch or a cup of coffee with homemade apple pie in the farm brasserie. The forests of Landgoed Twickel are wonderful for cycling. At the Oelerbeek you can see the Noordmolen here, a photogenic spot. Bornebroek is the last village on your route, through the fields you cycle back to the starting point.
