Welcome to the Drentsche Aa cycle route. This 42 km long route takes you through an authentic Drenthe landscape. The villages and streams are central to this route, which mainly takes you along cycle paths and therefore avoids main roads. This landscape, where farming and customs have been practiced for a thousand years, has not changed drastically in the last thousand years, as is the case elsewhere in the Netherlands.
