Enjoy a day in the Liemers

From Jan & Jan eating and drinking you can drive straight into the Liemers. In this region you cycle through a mosaic of vast fields, meadows and hedgerows. Ideal for a day of relaxation. You pass the Stroombroek. This former sand extraction site is now a recreational area. Further on you drive through Zeddam and through the forest to 's-Heerenberg. In the south of this town you cycle through a picturesque neighborhood with many old monumental buildings, such as the beautiful sixteenth-century town hall and the thirteenth-century Huis Bergh Castle. A little further on you cross the border with Germany. You will pass through Elten, which was assigned to the Netherlands after the Second World War, a measure that was reversed in 1963. At Plok you can enjoy a terrace in the food garden.
