Tour of the Waterland Church, St. Margriete, Oostburg

In the middle of a marine clay landscape, in a patchwork of polders, you will find the town of Oostburg. You cycle around this through creek areas full of orchids and grasslands. You start at Hotel Restaurant De Eenhoorn in Oostburg. You drive a long way along the Liniedijk. The view of the many fields, dikes and ramparts is beautiful. You pass through small farm worker hamlets with special names: Plakbord and Stroopuit. They were specially built for the agricultural laborers who worked on the farms between the villages. Back in Oostburg, take some time to explore the town, there are a few beautiful historic mansions to see. Nice sights include the Protestant Church, the 55 meter high water tower, the Eligius Church and the Town Hall that opened in 1957.
