Tour of the Waterland Church, St. Margriete, Oostburg

This route partly passes through the border area with Belgium. In the middle of a marine clay landscape, in a patchwork of polders, you will find the town of Oostburg. You cycle around this through creek areas full of orchids and grasslands. Take a break in Oostburg. This is a modern town and you can count historic buildings on one hand. That makes the remaining mansions extra special. Nice sights include the Protestant Church, the 55 meter high water tower, the Eligius Church and the Town Hall that opened in 1957. You now continue the cycle tour over the Liniedijk. The view of the many fields, dikes and ramparts is beautiful. After about thirty kilometers you arrive back at your starting point.
