Cycling through picturesque Friesland

Friesland shows itself from its most beautiful side on this route with extensive forests, dunes and heathland. Admire the Frisian natural beauty on foot or by bike and let all your worries drift away. Before you know it you will be relaxed from head to toe. The route starts in Norg in Drenthe, which, like many other villages in Drenthe, has a rich history. But the other sights along the route are also interesting from a historical perspective. You cycle past a burial mound from the Bronze Age and past Molen de Hoop in Norg, an octagonal tower mill that was built in 1857. The cozy Ikeleane campsite is an ideal starting point for this route. You can easily park your car in the parking lot for free. Enjoy a wonderful overnight stay here after your tour.
