Discover the Regge region

Between Nijverdal, Wierden and Rijssen you cycle through the Reggestreek: a picturesque and natural region on the border of Twente and Salland. You will find plenty of peace, space and cultural history here.

Wierden
You cycle straight into the scenic landscape with its characteristic old farms and field walls. Cycling on car-free roads through nature is really relaxing! After a while you cycle into Wierden, one of the pleasant towns in this region. Here you will see, among other things, the striking village church with its fifteenth-century tower.

Regge
In the countryside you cross the Regge a few times, which gives you a few idyllic views. On the edge of Rijssen you pass Ter Horst. This oil and peeling mill dates back to 1752. You can get off at the Grimberghoeve or add another loop to your route. And what kind: you drive past the Wierdense Veld, a vast nature reserve with heathland and raised bogs. It can still be old-fashioned quiet here!
