Tour Vierlingsbeek, Venray and Overloon

This route takes you from Camping & Guesthouse De Brembroeken through the beautiful Maasheggen landscape. You will also explore the Maasduinen National Park. This terraced landscape has large differences in height. The forests are kept young in a natural way: galloways, sheep and goats are used to prevent the area from becoming overgrown. You also cycle through the nice Venray. The beautiful Molen van Geysteren is an undershot watermill from 1897. The Rosmolen is not actually a horsemill, but also an undershot watermill - built in 1667. The mill was used as a flour mill for grinding rye. The mill house was damaged in 1944, when the bridge over the stream was blown up. The mill was fully operational again in 2000 and now runs on a voluntary basis.
