Diamonds Aa
The first kilometers you drive through the Ruiten Aa valley, the heart of the Westerwolde region. Here you cycle through a mosaic of grain-covered ash trees and grasslands that are lined with hedgerows. It is not without reason that this stream valley is one of the most beautiful in the Netherlands! You also pass through the Sellingerbossen. Here you will find the Theater of Nature, a unique nature viewing hill. Be sure to take a look!
Ter Apel
Groningen may be known for its vast landscape, but at Ter Apel you pass through a forest. And not just any one: this monastery forest was already planted around 800. Monastery Ter Apel dates from 1465, the current museum is one of the Top 100 of Dutch UNESCO monuments. The route then takes you through the Sellingerveld nature reserve. Here too you will experience a refreshing rest!
