Description

This route largely takes you through the Maas Valley. You first come here through the village of Berg aan de Maas. You cross the river on a ferry, after which you pass through the Negenoord nature reserve. Here you drive over a dike between two gravel ponds. There is a ten-meter-high lookout tower that was built from a loam and gravel mixture that was extracted in this region. Further on you cycle along the Bichterweerd. This nature reserve was also created by gravel extraction. At junction 26 you pass through Heppeneert, a place of pilgrimage. On the edge of Maaseik you cross the border, after which you cycle to Grevenbicht. You cross the Juliana Canal via the monumental Sluis Born, after which you take a tour through the Limbrichterbos. The route ends at Clevers IJssalon Einighausen.
