Historical monuments
From Eelde you set course for Norg. Around Norg you will find three contiguous forest areas: the Molenduinen, the Langeloërduinen and the Oosterduinen. Just outside Norg you will find Mill De Hoop from 1857. This mill was previously used as a peeling mill. A little further on you cycle past the monumental mansion De Tonckensborg. There was already a building on this site in the Middle Ages and in 1755 the house came into the hands of the Tonckens family. Then you cycle further to Steenbergen, where you can take a look at Hunebed D01. This large dolmen, which is still almost completely intact, is located just outside Steenbergen in the Noorderduinen.

Mensinge estate

South of Roden you cycle across the Mensinge estate. This estate probably dates from the 14th century and you will find a fully restored country house where you can take a look. The original inventory of the house such as furniture, porcelain and glassware can all still be found in the country house. Visit the house and imagine yourself in times gone by.
