Get a breath of fresh air in the dunes between Camperduin and Schoorl

Cycling between Egmond Binnen, Groet and Alkmaar is beautiful. Quickly jump on the saddle and experience the rich mix of natural beauty and cultural history for yourself. In Egmond aan den Hoef you can stop for a while to fully enjoy the idyllic surroundings of Egmond Castle. Then you drive through the dunes to Bergen aan Zee. If the weather is nice, you can take a dip, after which you cycle into the Schoorlse Duinen, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. You drive on rolling paths through forest, heath and dunes. You drive through Schoorl and the stately artists' village of Bergen, after which you cycle through the polder to Alkmaar. Just before Heiloo you pass the Pulpit Rock: a monk is said to have preached here in the past. The route ends at Egmond Abbey.
