Tour of Andijk, Wervershoof and Enkhuizen

The route starts at Hotel Snouck van Loosen in Enkhuizen. Enkhuizen has grown into an important tourist center with marinas, Fairytale Wonderland and the Zuiderzee Museum. The flourishing flower bulb cultivation and a picturesque center that is still enclosed by a rampart and bisected by canals make a visit to Enkhuizen an unforgettably beautiful day out. The Dutch polder landscape is ideal for a relaxing bike ride. Polder Het Grootslag was drained in 1423. Initially the water was drained naturally, but when the peat continued to settle, the first polder mills were installed in 1452 so that the polder could be dried out. When you cycle on the IJsselmeerdijk, you can see a fifteen-metre-high De Ven lighthouse looming from afar, a square brick tower from 1700. It's a picture!
