Burgh-Haamstede is an ideal base for cycling trips across Schouwen-Duiveland. On this beautiful island you can fully enjoy the rich Zeeland cultural history, nature and panoramas over the water.
Vroongronden The route starts at the church in Haamstede. A historic building of the sixteenth century, whose tower remained unfinished. You cycle along the old ring road. You can see a few beautiful monuments here, such as the sixteenth-century Jacobuskerk.
Oosterschelde You then cycle along the dike to Scharendijke and Den Osse. You pass through Brouwershaven where you can enjoy the many old buildings that are still standing within the former ramparts. take a break at Moeders at the market and enjoy a nice cup of coffee or something else. You drive through the wide polders to the Oosterschelde. From the Plompetoren you have a beautiful panorama over this national park.
