Description

Vincent van Gogh lived and worked in Nuenen from 1883 to 1885. He created almost a quarter of his entire oeuvre in this environment. This route takes you past the place where Vincent lived, where he had his studio, where his lover lived, where he went to church and painted his first masterpiece 'The Potato Eaters'. You cycle through the woods to Helmond, where you cycle through the beautiful city park De Warande. Further on you pass through Aarle-Rixtel and Beek & Donk, two characteristic Brabant villages. In Lieshout you pass the De Vogelenzang mill, a Van Gogh monument. You drive along the Wilhelmina Canal to the Kleine Dommel valley. Here you see the Opwettense Mill. The route ends at Lunchcafé & Patisserie Beyond.
