Cycling through Maastricht and the hills

Beautiful Maastricht is easy to discover from a bicycle. Around this old city you drive through the beautiful Heuvelland. It will be a long day full of sights and views!

Marl Church
You cycle through a landscape of hillside forests, grassy fields and orchards. In the old villages, half-timbered houses and marl churches give you the feeling that you are on holiday abroad. You pass Castle Eijsden, the current pleasure garden dates from 1636. In Eijsden you see many monumental mansions, such as on the Diepstraat and the old Maaskade. With a ferry you cross the Maas, nice and nostalgic!

Sint-Servaas Bridge
You cycle a few kilometers through Wallonia, after crossing the canal you pass through the Flemish border village of Kanne where you look out on Sint-Pietersberg. Along the river Jeker you enter the historic city center of Maastricht. You can cycle here, but you can better enjoy all those monumental sights by walking with your bicycle in hand. From the thirteenth-century Sint-Servaasbrug, the oldest bridge in the Netherlands, you have a beautiful view of the city and the Maas.
