Tour of hamlets in the Vechtdal

Your route starts at Camping De Kleine Wolf & brasserie De Wolventuin. Along the Overijsselse Vecht you will discover a beautiful authentic landscape: in this stream valley there are old hamlets with thatched farms and ash trees. The Vecht is the smallest rain river of the major Dutch rivers. Very special are the river dune complexes within cut-off meanders, for example the stone carnation, also known as the Vecht carnation, grows here. You will also discover Boswachterij Hardenberg with its wide variety of trees. You cross the Vecht again at the Junne estate. This small hamlet came into the possession of Delta Lloyd in the late 1930s, which uses the houses as holiday homes for their employees. Here, and also in Rheeze and Beerze, you can still see beautiful old thatched Saxon farms and ash.
