The beautiful Castle Aerwinkel with its beautiful landscape park. Via the Munningsbos you drive to Montfort, a village where an amateur archaeologist found a large Roman treasure in 2009. Along the Maas you regularly have beautiful views over the water. The Maasplassen are the largest continuous water sports area in the Netherlands.

Heel is such a typical beautiful Maas village. You will find a wonderful historic atmosphere, partly thanks to Nederhoven Castle, a moated hunting lodge on the north bank of the Sleijbeek. Further on you drive through Roermond. You pass the fourteenth-century Rattentoren, a remnant of the fortress. You will also pass St. Christopher's Cathedral from 1410. In the Roer valley you can enjoy nature and tranquility again. Central Limburg is so beautiful!
