You start at Buitencentrum De Pelen, the gateway to De Groote Peel National Park, and you soon enjoy magnificent views of this unique nature reserve. Traces of peat extraction are still visible everywhere in this old high moor area. Here the peat cutters worked for a long time under harsh conditions. Along beautiful canals, which played an important role in peat extraction, you cycle straight through the Mariapeel and the Deurnsche Peel towards Griendtsveen. This way you literally follow the path that the peat traveled. You can soak up the atmosphere of the Peel region at the visitor centers and'hosts\\\' along the route. They will tell you everything about this fascinating area. The route starts and ends at Buitencentrum De Pelen, but you can also join it from the visitor centers and hosts.
