Tour of Welsum, Diepenveen and Deventer

From the TOP you quickly cross the IJssel. In Olst you pass the village church. It is built in Romanesque style and originally dates from the thirteenth century. A little later you drive past Groot Hoenlo Castle. This manor house with estate is first mentioned in 1233. The current appearance of the manor dates from 1897. East of Diepenveen you drive on a beautiful path through woods and past meadows. Just past the village you will pass Huis Nieuw Rande. The current country house was built around 1850. You enter Deventer via the IJsselkade. In this old Hanseatic town you can admire many beautiful monuments. After a break at Hotel Restaurant Huis Vermeer, you cross the river and cycle along the floodplains to Welsum.
