Tour of Welsum, Diepenveen and Deventer

From the TOP you quickly cross the IJssel. In Olst you pass the village church. It was built in Romanesque style and originally dates from the thirteenth century. A little later you drive past Groot Hoenlo Castle. This manor with estate was first mentioned in 1233. The current appearance of the country house dates from 1897. East of Diepenveen you drive along a beautiful path through forest and past meadows. Just past the village you pass Huis Nieuw Rande. The current country house was built around 1850. You enter Deventer via the IJsselkade. You can admire many beautiful monuments in this old Hanseatic town. After a break at Hotel Restaurant Huis Vermeer you cross the river and cycle along the floodplains to Welsum.
