Bergeijk, North Brabant, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 133108
Provided by: route.nl
Your cycling route starts at Domain THUYSGROND, after an overnight stay or just a cup of coffee. You cycle to De Malpie via Bergeijk. Here the water wells up from the ground to form mysterious fens. Due to the diversity of plants, mushrooms and soil types, many butterflies and dragonflies flutter along the banks and over the heath, but reptiles such as grass snakes also thrive here. On the edge of Valkenswaard you will find the Venbergsemolen. The first mention dates from 1227. At that time the mill was owned by a sister order. The Venbergsemolen fell into disrepair and was extensively restored in 1895 and 1977. The mill runs regularly in the summer, but it no longer really grinds. You cycle back via cross-border Plateaux-Hageven Nature Park.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
