Cycling around Liempde

You start this route at Fiets En Wandelcafé'T Groene Woud. First of all you will be introduced to the Brabant village of Liempde. The first exploitations at this location took place in the early Middle Ages on the fertile lands along the Dommel. The historic village center is still in good condition. You will find the De Kleuskes Village Museum, which focuses on Brabant family life and that of the village's clog makers. You also cycle past the Veldersbos, a moist and old deciduous forest of 147 hectares. It was constructed around 1750 and developed into an estate with a park and a coach house. Velder estate is characterized by relatively wet forests. The Velder estate is connected to the Kampina nature reserve through nature development, which you pass through during this cycle route.
