Tour of Almelo, Wierden and Enter

Your route starts at Brasserie R-1854. You can soon get off and visit Wijngaard Baan. A little further along the path you can take another trip to Erve Woolderink, an organic farm. The farm itself has a beautiful gable roof made of straw and tiles. You cycle a long way along the meandering Midden-Regge, a 'walking' river. This is because the river erodes the land on the outside of the bend and deposits the sand again on the inside of the bend. You also drive a bit through the Notterveld, a scenic landscape of fields, meadows and forest. Wierden is a beautiful and cozy village. In the textile city of Almelo you can admire many historic buildings, such as the villas of former textile barons.
