Cycling through the heart of Twente

The Borne area is more than worth driving through. Here you cycle through the typical Twente scenic landscape where you will find all the peace and space you could wish for as a cycling and nature lover. West of Borne you drive through some estates, such as the Twickelerbos. You will also pass the Noordmolen from 1325. In Borne you will make a pit stop at Grand Café de Steeg, after which you will experience the atmosphere of a bygone era in the old village center. You pass the Saasveldermolen or Soaseler Möl as the people of Twente call this flour mill from 1870. The manor of Weleveld stood at the intersection of the Deventer-Osnabrück trade route and the Bornsebeek between 1300 and 1804, but now only the canals remain.
