Description

This route starts just outside Olst. Via Den Nul you cycle to the Cossack Ferry. You can also visit the Infocentrum IJssel Den Nul (www.infocentrumijssel.nl). Information about nature, water and cultural history flow together in this centre. The catering industry is run by people with disabilities. They are happy to provide you with a cup of coffee or tea with delicious apple pie. Then you cycle to the Cossack Ferry. This foot-bicycle ferry runs daily from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm between April 1 and October 1. The ferry is only out of service at high tide. To be on the safe side, you can check this on the website (www.kotassenveer.nl). You then cycle to Heerde and via the Sprengen and the Renderklippen you arrive in Epe. After Epe (between junction 64 and 67) you can visit the Veluws Streekmuseum Hagedoorns Place. Hagedoorns Place is a farm built in 1715. The farm is still in the state it was in 1940, complete with the old bedsteads. You cycle through the land between Veluwe and IJssel to Oene and Welsum. Via the ferry you arrive in Olst and cycle back to the starting point.
