Tour of the Zuidpolder Landscape Park

First, have a drink on the terrace of Polderzicht Tea & More and then put on your walking shoes. Today you will go out in Landschapspark Zuidpolder, where you will still find relatively open polders and water-rich nature reserves. If necessary, first take a look at the nearby information panel at TOP Barendrecht to learn more about this recently created recreation area. It is actually a city park for the entire metropolis of Rotterdam. At the end of the Achterzeedijk you will see the beautiful old Bridge Keeper's House. Nearby there used to be a bridge over the Maas, the largest lifting bridge in Europe. Now you will find the Heinenoord Tunnel here. From the dike you have a beautiful view of the ships on the water, it is always busy on the river here. Grab a picnic bench and enjoy!
