Beautiful towns along the Limburg Maas

Along the Limburg Meuse River, you'll find plenty of beautiful old towns, such as Kessel. The Church of Our Lady's Nativity, dating from 1460, stands on the riverbank. You'll also see the uniquely restored Keverberg Castle, dating from the ninth century. Baarlo is another picturesque village where you'll want to brake a few times to soak up the atmosphere. Cycle along the green banks of the Meuse River to Tegelen. Here, you can stop at Brasserie RACH for a drink on a terrace, after which you'll cycle towards Steyl. Here you'll find several sights, such as the neo-Gothic St. Rochus Church from 1866, which houses the Limburg Schutterij Museum. Along the Meuse River, you can get some fresh air before cycling through Ronkenstein, a protected village due to its eighteenth-century appearance. The route ends at Mert 5 in Beesel.
