Description

You drive over a former heathland and shifting sand area that is nowadays mainly planted with Scots pine: the Vrachelse Heide. You will also come across a lot. Mill Hoop Doet Leven is a round stone ground sailor - a type of mill whose blades almost touch the ground when it turns. It was built in 1783. Stellingmolen Zeldenrust dates from 1866. The Hoekse Molen (hull/remainder) is a round stone mill from 1873. Molen Fleur, a round stone scaffolding mill, was built in 1841. Zevenbergen Castle was built around 1290, but demolished in 172. Huis Luchtenberg was the courtyard of the castle. In Hooge Zwaluwe you will also cycle past an almost 44 meter water tower, dating from 1948.
