Description
On the edge of the Maasdal is the De Beegderheide nature reserve, an area with a wide variety of open heathlands, enclosed forests and fens.
In Beegden, drinking water is not only made from Maas water. The groundwater flows here into the Lange Vlieter, the reservoir. Here the groundwater mixes with'stored\\\' Meuse water. After intensive purification, the drinking water is intended for a large part of Central Limburg.
Enjoy this bike ride, but do it responsibly. That means:
