Circular walk from Grimma to the village of the senses Höfgen
Walk through the fascinating landscape at Grimma via the holiday village of Höfgen and the grounds of the ruins of Nimbschen Monastery.
The stone path, a themed hiking trail, leads over the Pöppelmannbrücke bridge from the old town of Grimma, The route runs parallel to the Muldefluss to Höfgen. The route passes the city forest, the Rabenstein, which offers a wide view of the river landscape and the stone cliffs.
The route will find you sculptures by Prof. dr. Friedhelm Lach, Monika Geilsdorf, Eberhard Krüger and Erika Zuchold.
The manually operated yaw cable ferry crosses from Höfgen to Nimbschen and makes its way past the famous monastery ruins back to the urban area of Grimmas.
