Round trip cycle route Döllnitztal and cycle route Mulde-Elbe
The route leads you from the Mulde-Elbe cycle path from Wermsdorf to Oschatz and back via the Döllnitztal cycle path. The beauty of the tour is not only the extraordinary sights, but also the beauty of nature. It is possible to board the Döllnitzbahn on the way.
Idyllic and interesting at the same time are the cycle paths in the Wermsdorf forest, a large, coherent forest area, which offers nature lovers space and tranquility and thus the best opportunities for relaxation.
The Mulde-Elbe cycle route runs between the towns of Wermsdorf and Oschatz and is also characterized by numerous ponds, vast meadows and fertile fields on slightly hilly to flat land. In Wermsdorf, a visit to Hubertusburg Castle is a striking sight. The only striking elevation is the Collmberg, which protrudes almost a hundred meters from the surrounding area.
To make things easier, more than half of the Döllnitztal cycle route, which connects the two towns via the southern cycle path, can be completed by train. The Döllnitzbahn, a narrow-gauge railway colloquially known as Wilder Robert, commutes between Oschatz, Mügeln and Glossen.
