Tour of the De Utrecht estate

From here you can walk straight into the woods. First you walk through the coniferous forest of the Wellenseindse Heide. Here you can take a look at the tranquil Panneven. You then walk through De Utrecht, a 2,500-hectare estate that was developed in 1898 as a financial investment by the life insurance company of the same name. About 400 hectares of the extensive heathland area now remains. A large part of the estate is planted with Scots pines and Douglas firs. It is wonderfully quiet here to walk along winding paths.
