Tour of the De Utrecht Estate

From here you can walk straight into the woods. First you walk through the coniferous forest of the Wellenseindse Heide. Here you can take a look at the tranquil Panneven. Then you walk through De Utrecht, a 2500 hectare estate that was developed as an investment in 1898 by the life insurance company of the same name. Of the vast heathland, about 400 hectares remain. A large part of the estate is planted with Scots pines and Douglas firs. It is wonderfully quiet to walk here on winding paths.
