Description
Terherne (or Terhorne) is located on the corner of a reclaimed land from the twelfth century. The children's book series De Kameleon is said to have been set here. From here you walk a bit along the Sneekermeer. Get a breath of fresh air while looking out over waving reeds and the rippling water. In the meadows around the Sneekermeer you can spot birds such as golden plovers, godwits and lapwings. It is wonderful to walk on the dikes here. You walk for miles through a sparsely populated area. What a silence! In Goingarijp you can admire the church building from 1770, which has a bell tower next to it. You walk back via Terkaple and the Terkaplester Puollen.
