Description
It is wonderful to walk in the polders of the Groene Hart. While walking you will have plenty of time to take in the characteristic Dutch landscape of grassy meadows, ditches and willows. At junction 62 you walk through a small-scale nature reserve with forest. Then you walk a bit along the Oostvaart. Once upon a time, plenty of peat was cut here, but now you can see that the land is used here and there for the cultivation of ornamental trees. In Hazerswoude-Dorp you will see some beautiful monuments, such as Nieuw Leven: a see-saw mill from 1816. Further on is the HH Engelbewachterskerk from 1881. Then you walk through the polder again. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for taking a break. At Jeu de Boer it's time for a snack!
