Tour of the Betuwe Utrechtse Heuvelrug

This special route takes you through the Betuwe, the Kromme Rijnstreek and along the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. After warming up your legs, you cycle through Wijk bij Duurstede. There are still beautiful monuments to see in this historic town. From the polders you can already see the Utrechtse Heuvelrug on the horizon. You cycle through the woods to Leersum and then to the beautiful village of Amerongen, where you can take a look at the castle. Back in the Betuwe it is beautiful to cycle over winding dikes. You drive past orchards, farms and mills. In Buren you can enjoy the historic atmosphere. After getting off it is time for a snack and drink at Poelzicht, where you can enjoy the beautiful cycle route.
