Tour of the Betuwe Utrechtse Heuvelrug

This special route takes you through the Betuwe, the Kromme Rijnstreek and along the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. After you have warmed up your legs, you cycle through Wijk bij Duurstede. In this historic town there are still beautiful monuments to be seen. From the polders you can already see the Utrechtse Heuvelrug on the horizon. Through the forests you cycle to Leersum and then to the beautiful village of Amerongen, where you can catch a glimpse of the castle. Back in the Betuwe it is beautiful cycling over winding dikes. You cycle past orchards, farms and mills. In Buren you can enjoy the historic atmosphere. After getting off it is time for a snack and drink at Poelzicht, enjoy the beautiful cycled route here.
