Walking tour of Bergen aan Zee and Schoorlse Duinen

Your starting point, Huize Glory is located in Bergen aan Zee. First enjoy the beautiful sea view from the terrace. You can walk straight into the Schoorlse Duinen, the widest dune area in the Netherlands with the highest dune tops in the Netherlands. Sloping paths lead you through the vast forests and dunes. A century ago it was still one large sandbox, but now you will find a mix of open drifting dunes, wet plains and even heathlands. Along the edges you will find dense forests, which were created in the nineteenth century to prevent the villages from disappearing under the drifting sand. After a lunch stop at your starting point, it is time for the second part of the route: you take a beautiful beach walk at Bergen aan Zee!
