After an overnight stay at Huize Glory Estate in Bergen aan Zee, you get on your bike. You drive straight into the Schoorlse Duinen, the highest and widest dunes in the Netherlands. Here you have to climb and descend quite a bit, but that is no problem with an e-bike! Further on you drive a bit along the Hondsbossche Zeewering. The Hargermolen dates from 1804. Its predecessor died in 1799 during combat between an Anglo-Russian army and the French occupiers. On the way to the small village of Groet you will come across several windmills, such as the Groetermolen. Then you cycle along the Schoorlse Duinen to the historic heart of Cheese City Alkmaar. You make a shortcut through the polder for a bit on the boulevard of Egmond aan Zee and then cycle back to your starting point.
