Sint-Anthonius, De Merel, Schilde

Sint-Anthonius is a small village near Antwerp. The beautiful Sint-Antonius Chapel of Juxschot was built here in 1942 for the approximately one hundred residents at the time. The museum is located in three former workers' houses in the village center of 's-Gravenwezel. As the last stop on the route, you cycle past the beautiful castle of 's-Gravenwezel. This castle with double walls was built in the thirteenth century. The two imposing round corner towers were added in the fourteenth century, but only one of them has been preserved. The castle is located in the middle of a beautiful park of 21 hectares. The castle is privately owned and unfortunately cannot be visited from the inside.
